Selection Parameters: Data Transfer for Contract Manufacturing
Using selection parameters, you determine which data the Data Transfer for Contract Manufacturing
reports read in an SAP ERP system, and write to a ProductActivityNotificaton
XML message. This documentation describes the selection parameters for the following reports:
ROEMPROACT2
RCMPROACT2
RPRTPROACT
Differences between the reports are highlighted as appropriate.
You must restrict the selection to materials from one plant. The system always runs the report for one plant only. If you enter an MRP area, the system runs the report for exactly one combination of plant and MRP area.
You can enter the vendor (supplier) in the Vendor
field. If you do not make an entry, the report selects all vendors.
As a supplier, you can also use the ROEMPROACT2
report to transfer inventory data and key figures relating to one of your suppliers (second tier suppliers) from your ERP system to SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) at the customer site. In this case, to indicate that you use the ROEMPROACT2
report to transfer data from a supplier ERP system to SAP SNC, you select the Supplier System Is Source
checkbox. After you have selected the checkbox, the system displays additional fields. Follow the instructions in the field help on how to fill out these fields.
You can restrict the selection to specific materials, product groups, MRP controllers, procurement types, and special procurement types.
The Individual Batches
checkbox is only available in the ROEMPROACT2
and RCMPROACT2
reports (as of enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0). You use the checkbox as follows:
If you do not select the Individual Batches
checkbox, the report transmits the aggregated batch quantity for a selected batch-managed material (without batch numbers).
If you select the Individual Batches
checkbox, the report transmits the individual batches including batch numbers and batch classification values for a batch-managed material.
Note
If you have already transmitted aggregated batch inventory to SAP SNC (that is, you have not selected the checkbox) and you now want to transfer individual batches (by selecting the checkbox), you must reset the inventory in SAP SNC first. To do so, you use the Reset Inventory to Zero
(/SCA/DM_RESETINV
) report. This is to prevent stock values for a batch-managed material from existing twice in SAP SNC (aggregated value and values for the individual batches).
If you want to use these report enhancements, you must activate the SAP ERP business function Outsourced Manufacturing
(LOG_MM_OM_1
).
The report's stock determination differentiates between the following types of stock:
Unrestricted use stock
Stock in quality inspection
Blocked stock
Stock in transfer between plants and stock in transfer between storage locations (as of enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0, ROEMPROACT2
and RPRTPROACT
only)
You can select these stock types individually. However, the report only transmits the total stock in transfer. If you want to use these report enhancements, you must activate the SAP ERP business function Outsourced Manufacturing
(LOG_MM_OM_1
).
Consignment stock
Own stock
You can use key figures to determine which data is extracted. You can restrict the key figure selection to a specific period.

You can choose between the following supplier selection criteria when extracting data for inventory:
No Supplier Data
The system does not consider suppliers for both un-consigned inventory and consignment inventory.
Supplier as Assigned
The system extracts un-consigned inventory without supplier data and consignment inventory with supplier data.
With Source List and Quota
The system provides multisourcing supplier data by source list and quota for inventory.
In the standard system, the report stops processing the selected materials when it finds the first material without a source list. If you select the Skip Materials Without Source List
checkbox, the report processes all materials that have a source list. It skips materials without a source list and puts them in the log.
Source List or as Assigned
The system checks for source lists and quotas first. If there is no source list, the system extracts supplier data as it is assigned in order documents (see the Supplier as Assigned
option).
You can choose between the following supplier selection criteria when extracting data for key figures:
No Supplier Data
The system does not consider suppliers for key figures.
Supplier as Assigned
The system extracts key figures with supplier data for those order items with supplier assigned; otherwise the Supplier
field is empty.
With Source List and Quota
The system provides multisourcing supplier data by source list and quota for key figures. For those key figures that have sources with supplier assigned, the supplier data for those order items is kept as it is. The quantity is proportional to the quota of the suppliers. If there is no source list and quota, the system generates an error message and stops processing the data.

You can enter the following execution parameters.
Target system
This parameter names the logical system to which the generated ProductActivityNotification
messages are transferred. This is the logical name of the SAP NetWeaver® system. Use the logical system you entered in the partner profiles.
Execution mode
You can choose between the following execution modes:
Test Run
This mode allows you to run the report for test purposes, for example, without automatically creating IDocs.
Update Run
In this mode, the system creates IDocs or XML messages automatically.
Transfer zero quantities
You select the Transfer Zero Quantities
checkbox if you want a complete update of all entries in SAP SNC. This mode transfers zero quantities (0) for stocks and demands to SAP SNC as follows:
Stock
For each stock category of a material, the system generates a data segment with stock 0 (zero) unless the extractor has determined a specific value.
Demand
For each date range of the demand period (usually one day), the system generates a data segment with a demand quantity, unless the system has determined specific demand information.
Recommendation
We recommend only using the Transfer Zero Quantities
checkbox in exceptional cases and after careful consideration. If you select this checkbox, the IDocs or XML messages that the system generates based on your selection are comprehensive.
This parameter provides you with the following options:
Complete Report
The system generates a detailed log.
Short Report
The system generates a brief log including user, execution period, number of generated IDocs, and relevant suppliers.
Only Stock Report
The system generates a log containing user, execution period, number of generated IDocs, relevant suppliers, and stock/requirements list for storage locations.
