Procedure documentationProcessing Change Requests Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You want to process a request to change or create a job in the Service Desk. The Service Desk processor has created a change request and assigned a change manager. You can accept or reject the change request.

Prerequisites

  • You have created or changed a job request in the SAP Solution Manager.

  • You are authorized for the Service Desk.

  • You are in change mode with the role Service Desk processor.

Procedure

  1. Choose Actions (Actions).

  2. Choose Display Job Request.

  3. Check the job request description and the attached documents.

  4. Choose Actions (Actions).

    • To accept the change request:

      1. Choose Accept.

      2. Assign job documentation to the change document, to specify the scope of the change in the system landscape (logical component) of the job documentation. You can:

        • Create new job documentation

          The dialog box for selecting and creating job documentation appears. You can only assign job documentation for which change control is activated.

        • Assign existing job documentation

          The dialog box for selecting and creating job documentation appears. You can only assign job documentation for which change control is activated.

        • If the end user created the job request based on existing job documentation, the system automatically assigns the job documentation to the change document.

    • Choose Reject to reject the change request.
