Master Data and Settings for the DCM If you want to work with the Delivery Control Monitor (DCM), you must set up special master data and make settings in SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC).
You must create the following master data in the SAP SNC system:
Business partners for customer and supplier
Internet users for customer and supplier
Customer location and ship-from location
Location products at the customer location that you monitor in the DCM
In the location product master of the products, enter the unit of measure for the quantity specifications in the DCM in the
Base UoM
field.
If you, as customer, use an SAP ERP back-end system, you can transfer the customer location products to SAP SNC using the CIF.
The transportation lane between the customer location and the supplier location
You must enter the following parameters in the customer location product master:
Signal stock level
The signal stock level must lie between the minimum and the maximum stock levels.
Rounding value
SAP SNC uses the rounding value to round ASN quantities.
You enter these values in the location product master on the
Lot Size
tab page in the following fields:
The
minimum stock level
in the
Safety Stock
field
The
maximum stock level
in the
Maximum Stock
field
The signal stock level in the
Reorder Point
field
The rounding value in the
Rounding Value
field
In the following cases, you must make the location product settings in SAP SNC dependent on the business partner:
Multisourcing
The customer can procure a product for the customer location from different ship-from locations. The ship-from locations can belong to different suppliers. In this case, it may be necessary to specify different supplier-specific planning parameters for the customer location product, such as different minimum or maximum stock levels.
Scenario Control
You can use scenario control to define which location products the DCM displays and which DCM alerts the system generates.
For more information, see Partner-Dependent Location Product Settings .
Note
You
cannot
set the
Use Days' Supply
indicator in the location product settings. Use this indicator in the
SMI Monitor
to control that the system calculates the maximum and minimum stock levels dynamically using the days' supply.
If a user only wants to display data in the DCM, create user-specific and business partner-specific selections in Selection Management .
You transfer the data for the DCM to SAP SNC using
ProductActivityNotifications
. For
ProductActivityNotifications
, you must set the process type
Supplier Collaboration
in Customizing for
Supply Network Collaboration
. You make this setting under
.
If you only want to call the DCM when an alert occurs, set up alert notification .
If you want to use alert-based rating , make the relevant settings.
