 Inventory Alerts for the DCM

An inventory alert for the Delivery Control Monitor (DCM) is an alert that notifies you about an exception situation in the stock at hand at the customer. The system displays the inventory alerts in the Alert Monitor on the Inventory Alerts tab page. You, as customer, can use alert-based rating to evaluate the alerts for a supplier delivery performance rating (see Alert-Based Rating ).

Note Note

You can use scenario control to define that the system does not generate DCM alerts for a product (see Scenario Control ).

End of the note.

The following options are available for generating inventory alerts for the DCM:

  • The Post Processing Framework (PPF) generates the alert when an XML message of type ProductActivityNotification is received. By default, alert generation is not active. The system administrator must activate alert generation in the PPF (application /SCA/ ICH , action profile /SCA/ BOL _INVENTORY , action /SCA/ BOL _ INV _DCM_STOCK_CHECK ).

  • The system administrator runs the Generate Inventory Alerts for Delivery Control Monitor report ( /SCA/DCMALERTSWRITE) on a regular basis in theSAPSNC system. To call the report for online processing, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Supply Network Collaboration Next navigation step Exceptions Next navigation step Alert Generation Next navigation step Generate Inventory Alerts for Delivery Control Monitor. End of the navigation path
