Inventory Alerts for the DCM An inventory alert for the Delivery Control Monitor (DCM) is an alert that notifies you about an exception situation in the stock at hand at the customer. The system displays the inventory alerts in the Alert Monitor on the
Inventory Alerts
tab page. You, as customer, can use alert-based rating to evaluate the alerts for a supplier delivery performance rating (see
Alert-Based Rating
).
Note
You can use scenario control to define that the system does not generate DCM alerts for a product (see Scenario Control ).
The following options are available for generating inventory alerts for the DCM:
The Post Processing Framework (PPF) generates the alert when an XML message of type
ProductActivityNotification
is received. By default, alert generation is not active. The system administrator must activate alert generation in the PPF (application
