Switching a Business Function On
Before you switch a business function on, and activate this change, prepare the system, and check, for example, dependencies between business functions.
You have read or updated the Switch Framework data for the system in which you want to switch a business function on.
You are in change mode. The current processing mode is shown in the System column.
Ensure that the central Switch Framework functions are available for the selected system.
If the functions are not available, the managed system has no RFC connection to the Solution Manager system. To check the RFC connection in the Solution Manager System Landscape, click on the system ID.
If the functions are only available locally in the managed system, it has either no TRUSTED RFC connection to the Solution Manager system, or a lower release than SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0.
To change the RFC destination, choose . To generate an RFC destination, select the system and choose .
To edit Switch Framework files locally in the managed system, choose .
Select the business function set from which you want to switch a business function on. See Select Business Function Set for more information.
Check dependencies between business functions. If the conditions for existing dependencies are not satisfied, you cannot switch the business function on. For further information, see Check Dependencies between Business Functions.
Switch the business function on or off. Click on the link in the Planned Status column.
(changed) is appended to the link text. This indicates an unsaved change.
Save your changes. This changes the planned status of the business function.
Activate the changes. This changes the actual status of the business function. For further information, see Activating Changes.
The system activates the business function in the managed system. You can now configure and test the functions.
