 Supply Relationships

Definition

The temporary, to-the-minute relationships between force elements that control which force element is supplied by which other force element.

Use

Use this object to define for each external material group which force element is supplied with material by which other force element. See also Determination of the Supplier .

Structure

Supply relationships between force elements:

  • are mapped using the relationship A/B 806 (see also Support Relationships ).

  • are stored in tables of the FORCER framework

  • are, on the receiving side, passed on to any lower-level force elements if no support relationships are defined for them; for more information, see Customizing and choose Defense Forces & Public SecurityStart of the navigation path OrganizationalFlexibility Next navigation step Command and Support Relationships End of the navigation path BAdI: Inheritance of Support Relationships

  • are created, edited, and displayed in the Structures Workbench on the Support Relationship tab page

Properties

You enter the following properties for an assignment:

  • Name/ID/Code

    The assigned force element.

  • Object Status/Object Status (Text)

The status of the assigned force element.

  • Valid From / Valid To

The validity period of the assigned force element.

  • Assigned As Of / Assigned Until

The validity period (to the day) of the supply relationship.

  • From (Time)/To (Time)/Original Time Zone

The validity period (to the minute) of the supply relationship.

    Note Note

For more information, see Time Zones .

    End of the note.
  • Relationship Text

    A description of the relationship.

  • Relationship Status/Relationship Status (Text)

    The status of the relationship.

  • Standard Supplier (Default)

If you do not assign an external material group to a supply relationship, the supplying force element is the standard supplier. All purchase orders for which the system cannot determine another supply relationship are forwarded to this standard supplier. A force element can have only one standard supplier at any one time.

  • External Material Group

Since the relevant supplier can differ depending on the material requested, you can use the external material group to distinguish your supply relationships by different material.

The external material group assigned in the relevant material master record is used to differentiate supply relationships. When you create a supply relationship, you define a time period (to the minute) for the relationship as well as the external material group for which the supply relationship is to be used. If a purchase order is created for a material, the system determines the external material group from the material master record and uses the supply relationship to determine the related force element. Material requirements therefore arise automatically for the force element that is responsible for supplying this material.

In Customizing, you define external material groups by choosing Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Organizational Flexibility Next navigation step Command and Support Relationships Next navigation step Define External Material Groups for Supply Relationships End of the navigation path .

    Note Note

To show and hide fields, you can choose Column Configuration .

    End of the note.
  • Only for relationship Is Supplied by (B 806) : Relationship Inherited from / Inheritance ID

If a supply relationship is not specified for the force element, it inherits (as the recipient) the next supply relationship via the higher-level structure.

This inheritance is displayed only if the force element itself has the status Active . You can activate and deactivate this display using the pushbutton Inherited Supply Relatshp Off/On .

  • Workflow Date/Workflow Time

Specifies the time at which the workflow is triggered for an expiring supply relationship.

Example

You can define external material groups to map armed forces organizations, such as the NATO classes of supply:

NATO Classes of Supply/External Material Groups

1

Meals

2

Equipment

3

Operating supplies

4

Special equipment

5

Ammunition

6

Army stores

7

Vehicles/weapons

8
