 Decentralized Task Organization

Use

The distribution scenario of the Defense Forces & Public Security component enables you to define and edit organizational structures for the domestic base, operations, and exercises in the central system and subsequently distribute these to the relevant decentralized systems.

You can also carry out decentralized task organizations as required, and distribute them to the relevant systems.

Integration

A system switch may be useful for lower-level force elements in the case of a decentralized task organization that has been created for a longer period between force elements with different operational systems. In this case also, the decentralized task organization is for information purposes only; no system dependencies exist.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met before you can carry out task organizations in a decentralized system and distribute them to other systems:

  • The force elements concerned must exist in all systems involved.

  • You have to exclude the relationships for task organizations in the explosion profile used for distribution from the central system to decentralized systems.

In the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces& Public Security Next navigation step Distributed System Landscape Next navigation step Application-Specific Settings Next navigation step Distributed Organization Next navigation step BAdI: Decentralized Task Organization End of the navigation path (implementation in enhancement spot /ISDFPS/ES_FORCERXXX_CHECK), you define whether an IDoc should be transferred from the decentralized system to the central system during decentralized task organization.

Features

The following functions are available for decentralized task organization:

  • You carry out a decentralized task organization in the same way as central task organizations. See also Editing Relationships .

  • In contrast to task organizations carried out centrally that are distributed to the relevant decentralized systems using standard PDR distribution, distribution of decentralized task organizations to the relevant systems occurs by means of the system sending a corresponding IDoc of message type /ISDFPS/FR to the central system.

  • In an offline scenario , you can also transfer task organizations between ERP systems using a data carrier. To do this, you transfer the outbound IDocs generated through data changes to a corresponding data carrier and import them into the target system. Standard functions are available in the system for this.
