 Notifications

Use

Reports to send notifications to responsible processors exist for the process for updating qualifications.

Prerequisites

You have specified which users are to receive notifications in the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Personnel Next navigation step Training Next navigation step Notifications Next navigation step Assign User End of the navigation path . Here, you specify the process steps and personnel areas/subareas for which each user is responsible and how notifications should be sent. The following process steps are relevant:

You can also use the Business Add-In /ISDFPS/HCM_USER_NOTI_IDS that is specified there to adjust the mechanism for creating the recipient list and sending the message.

Features

The following functions are available for notifying the agents responsible:

  • Automatic Notification about New Data in the /ISDFPS/PM_TP_O Table

    The /ISDFPS/NOTIFICATION_PM_TP_O report informs users that are identified as responsible in the Customizing settings that new training data is available in table /ISDFPS/PM_TP_O for their area of responsibility that can be copied to infotype 0806.

    For this, the system takes into account the entries for which the Approved indicator is selected and the Transfer indicator is not selected.

  • Automatic Notification about New Data in Infotype 0806

    The /ISDFPS/NOTIFICATION_IT806 report informs users that are identified as responsible in the Customizing settings that new training data is available in infotype 0806 for their area of responsibility that can be converted to qualifications.

    In infotype 0806, the system checks whether training data exists for which the Completed indicator is not selected.

  • Additional Recipients

    The user interfaces of the reports allow you to enter additional notification recipients in addition to those defined in the Customizing settings.

  • Manual Notification for Infotype 0806

    You can trigger the /ISDFPS/NOTIFICATION_IT806 report for infotype 0806 manually from the Maintain HR Master Data application (transaction PA30) to inform the agent responsible about manual changes. This notification is based on data changes to the selected infotype record only. If you want to change several records manually, you must also send a corresponding notification for each record.

Activities

  • Set up the reports for automatic notification about new data as background jobs (transaction SM36).

  • Alternatively, you can execute reports manually.

  • If necessary, choose Send Message in infotype 0806 in the Maintain HR Master Data application (transaction PA30) for manual notification.
