Adjustment of Reorder Points for Organizational Changes

Use

Supply relationships can change over time; relationships are created or reassigned (in other words, existing supply relationships expire and new relationships begin).

This means that the supplier has to adjust the reorder points based on these changes, provided that materials held by the supplier are maintained in provisions packages.

The adjustment of reorder points must also be checked in the following cases:

  • A material is reassigned or deleted from a provisions package

  • A provisions package is reassigned or deleted from a force element

This refers to the force element assignments valid on the key date. Here, it does not matter whether provisions packages are stockpiling packages or held by the supplier.

Integration

See also Supply Relationships and Provisions Package .

Features

Reorder points are adjusted based on the changed supply load. Only provision stocks managed by the supplier as provisions for the consumer are taken into account. This means that the system:

  • Increases the supplier’s reorder points by the reorder points of the new provisions packages to be supplied when a supply relationship is created

  • Reduces the supplier’s reorder points by the reorder points of the provisions packages no longer to be supplied when a supply relationship ends

When ending a supply relationship, the system enters the current date of the program run in the Assigned to field. The supply relationship is delimited and no longer valid.

When a supply relationship is created, the start date of the supply relationship is reached.

Implementing Planned Changes Based On Time

To track changes based on time, schedule the report /ISDFPS/FDP_CHANGES_EXECUTE to run once a day. See also Report: Implementation of Organizational Changes .

This report evaluates all changes made up to the time entered on the selection screen of the report.
