Authorized/Actual Comparison for Infrastructure To create an overview of the fixtures and fittings situation of a force element or an organizational structure with regard to buildings and land, you can compare the actual infrastructure with the authorized infrastructure on the same day and identify any fixtures and fittings deficits.
The authorized/actual comparison for the infrastructure is similar to the authorized/actual comparison for equipment in terms of materials. For more information, see authorized/actual comparison .
The authorized/actual comparison is an integral part of the Structures Workbench .
You have defined the authorized infrastructure of the force element and specified whether the real estate contracts that are assigned to the force element are to be included in the authorized/actual comparison.
Since the data structure of the actual infrastructure is different to the data structure of the authorized infrastructure, you have to define a corresponding mapping in Customizing. For more information, see the activities in the Implementation Guide (IMG) under . The BC set /ISDFPS/BC_RE_IPO_DFPS provides a relevant mapping as standard.

For information about mapping, see also Data Structure of the Infrastructure Planning Object .
You use the same measurement types and fixtures and fittings characteristics to map the actual infrastructure and the authorized infrastructure.
The system provides a check to check the consistency of the initial data that is required for the authorized/actual comparison.
If required, you have adjusted the rules of the authorized/actual comparison to meet your requirements using the Business Add-In /ISDFPS/BADI_MO_ILI_ALV.For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under .
In the Implementation Guide (IMG) under , you have used the REFX_ILI_LEVEL switch to define the level from which the structure can perform an evaluation (root elements correspond to level 1).
You can compare the actual and authorized infrastructures at the following evaluation levels:
Evaluation for an individual force element or for a substructure
Note
When a structure is evaluated, the actual or authorized infrastructure of all force elements concerned is totaled, meaning that in certain circumstances, the authorized infrastructure of one force element is compared to the actual infrastructure of another force element.
Evaluation at the first planning level (main objects) or second planning level (subobjects) of the infrastructure planning object
Note
While the data for the actual infrastructure always automatically covers both planning levels, definition of the second planning level of the authorized infrastructure is optional . If no data exists for the authorized infrastructure for the second planning level, it is only possible to carry out a meaningful authorized/actual comparison for the first planning level.
Evaluation of the number of buildings, pieces of land, rooms, and spaces (object type) in total for each function, or evaluation of the total measurements (for each measurement type) and fixtures/fittings (for each fixtures/fittings characteristic) for each object type (building, land, room, or space) and function
During evaluation, the system takes into account the objects and assignments that are displayed according to the user settings in the
Structures Workbench
and that exist for the selected key date.
Determining the Actual Infrastructure
The system determines the actual infrastructure using the real estate contracts assigned to the force element or structure that are flagged as relevant for the actual/authorized comparison.
Converting the Actual Infrastructure
The system converts this actual data to the format of the authorized data (in accordance with your Customizing settings for mapping between the actual and the authorized data structures).
Note
If the system cannot complete this conversion due to missing Customizing settings, a relevant message is issued. The objects concerned are listed in an error log .
Compressing the Actual Infrastructure
The system compresses the converted actual infrastructure at the evaluation levels mentioned above for the relevant total values and distinguishes between exclusive and non-exclusive use.
Fixtures and fittings are taken into account only if the
Applicable
indicator is selected.
Determining and Compressing the Authorized Infrastructure
The system determines the infrastructure planning objects that are assigned to the force element (or structure). If necessary, the authorized infrastructure is adjusted to take the correction factors into account. For more information, see correction factors .
The system compresses the authorized infrastructure at the evaluation levels mentioned above for each combination of object type and function that exists for each force element or structure to the relevant total values, and distinguishes between exclusive and non-exclusive use.
The system multiplies the values in accordance with the number of the following assignments:
Assignment between force element and infrastructure planning object
Assignment between infrastructure planning object and main object
Assignment between main object and subobject
Fixtures and fittings are taken into account only if the
Applicable
indicator is selected for them and the
Number
indicator is selected for the fixtures and fittings characteristic in the Customizing settings.
Measurements and fixtures and fittings are valued as exclusive if exclusive use is specified for the respective main or subobject.
This means that the actual and authorized values exist in a standardized, compressed form and they can be compared.
The system displays the authorized/actual comparison for the infrastructure in the selection area of the Structures Workbench . The results of an authorized/actual comparison are displayed in the following structure:
Object Type
/
Function
Combination of object type and function for which compressed values exist
Measurement Type
/
Fixtures and Fittings
(after selection of relevant compression method only)
Measurement type or fixtures and fittings characteristic that is used for compression
Actl (Exclusive)/Actual
Compressed actual values, divided by exclusive and joint use
Target (Exclusive)/Target
Compressed authorized values, divided by exclusive and joint use
Difference (Exclusive)/Difference
Difference between actual and authorized, divided by exclusive and joint use
You are in a
Structures Workbench
transaction that provides the authorized/actual comparison for the infrastructure in the selection area.
Select the force element for which you want to carry out an authorized/actual comparison.
In the selection area, choose
Key Date
to select the required date.
In the selection area, choose
Switch
to select the
Infrastructure Comparison
view.
In the selection area, use the
Structure Sel.
to specify whether you want to perform the authorized/actual comparison for the force element on its own or with its lower-level structure.
In the selection area, choose
Compression
to select the required compression method.
Function
Evaluation of the number for each combination of object type and function
Measurements
or
Fixtures and Fittings
Evaluation of the measurements or fixtures and fittings for each combination of object type and function
The system displays the compressed results.
If required, you can now create an
RE search request
or choose
Display Log
to display any warning or error messages for the authorized/actual comparison.

The nine starting values listed in this example are compressed to six values in accordance with the combination of
object type
and
function
and taking into account exclusive use:
For the combination of building (object type) and office (function), the system establishes two separate totals; one for exclusive and one for non-exclusive use.
For the sports facilities function, the system maps sums for non-exclusive use only separately for each object type.
For the combination of land (object type) and parking space (function), the system maps two totals separately for exclusive and non-exclusive use.
