  Creating RE Search Requests

Use

If the system identifies an equipment deficit (missing actual infrastructure) for a force element using the authorized/actual comparison , you can create relevant RE search requests to search for suitable offered objects.

Integration

The RE search request is an object type of the Flexible Real Estate Management component and can also therefore be processed using the applications of this component.

RE search requests can be assigned to the force elements concerned. For more information, see RE Search Requests .

Prerequisites

You have defined RE search request types in Customizing:

  • In the Implementation Guide (IMG) of the Flexible Real Estate Management component, under Start of the navigation path Real Estate Search Next navigation step RE Search Request End of the navigation path , you define the required RE search request types, including measurement types and fixtures and fittings characteristics.

    You define the fixtures and fittings characteristics that are permitted for the RE search request for each assignment (1:n) to the fixtures and fittings characteristics that exist in the system in the Implementation Guide (IMG) of the Flexible Real Estate Management component under Start of the navigation path Real Estate Search Next navigation step Offered Object Next navigation step Specify Fixtures and Fittings Characteristics for Real Estate Search End of the navigation path .

  • In the Implementation Guide (IMG), under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces & Public Security Next navigation step Flexible Real Estate Management Next navigation step RE Search Request Next navigation step Define Request Type Determination End of the navigation path , you define one real estate search request type as the proposed value for each architectural object type and each function.

Features

You can create RE search requests based on objects from the first or second planning levels. Depending on your choice, the system can always search for objects at the first or second level only.

The system uses the following data to create the RE search request:

  • Measurements

    The system uses the measurements of the object that you have selected using the authorized/actual comparison as a search criterion ( General Data tab page of the new RE search request). The value is taken as the minimum size. When searching for offered objects, the system also takes into account the variation that is defined by the RE search request type.

  • Fixtures and Fittings

    Fixtures and fittings characteristics of the selected RE search request type that correspond to the evaluation characteristics of the object that you have selected using the authorized/actual comparison are copied by the system using the Preferred indicator ( Fixtures and Fittings tab page of the created RE search request). The system copies all other fittings and fixtures characteristics of the selected RE search request type using the Not Important indicator.

  • Main Business Entity

    The system copies the main business entity ( Active status) of the force element as location information ( General Data tab page of the created RE search request).

  • Contract Start

    The system proposes the current date as a possible contract start date.

Activities

You are in the Structures Workbench in the authorized/actual comparison for the infrastructure.

  1. Select the entry in the authorized/actual comparison for which you want to create an RE search request.

  2. Choose Create RE Search Request .

  3. Choose the required options.

  4. Confirm your selection.

    • If you choose Create Request , the system creates the RE search request and assigns it to the force element. The system automatically assigns an RE search request number .

    • If you choose Create and Edit Request , the system also automatically starts the Change RE Search Request application (transaction REORRR) that you can use to edit the RE search request further.

  5. Save your changes.

You can then use the RE search with the functions of the Flexible Real Estate Management component to search for suitable objects.
