 Service Provider (Infotype 1954)

Definition

A list of the services that one force element (recipient of services) procures from other force elements (service providers), independent of support relationships.

Use

You specify which service offers (such as medical care) a given force element procures from which other force elements. This entry is for information purposes, while support relationships are evaluated for the purpose of controlling processes.

Structure

On the Service Provider tab page in the Structures Workbench, you can assign force elements that are responsible for providing a service ) to a force element.

In addition to the Service Key and Service Description fields, in which you can select a service, the following fields are provided on this tab page:

  • Object ID

    The object ID of the force element that is responsible for providing the service in question.

  • Service Provider

    The name of the force element that is responsible for providing the service in question.

  • Status

    The planning status of the assignment of the service provider to the recipient of the service.

  • Start Date / End Date

    You specify the period during which the force element is responsible for the service in question.

Information about service providers is stored in infotype 1954 (component specific).

Integration

Service offers (responsibilities) must be defined for a service provider before this service provider can be assigned. The system can filter the permitted service offers.
