Distributed Objects (ALE and PDR) In order to set up (initial distribution) a decentralized system and exchange data on an ongoing basis (delta distribution) with the central system, certain objects must be transferred.
You have learned about the distribution process .
You configure object-specific Customizing settings for distribution in Customizing for .
In Customizing for you can use switch PM_DISTR_ACTIVE to control whether the functions for distributing maintenance objects , and also the relevant checks, are to be active.
The following overview lists all the objects that can be distributed. It is divided according to areas, master and transaction data, and the method of transfer.
The following objects are transferred by PDR :
Force element (FE)/organizational unit (O)
Personnel categories
Position (S)
Job (C)
Assignments between job or position and the organizational unit
Assignments between the indirect role and the job
Assignments between the user (US) and the position
Relationships between organizational units (force elements), between an organizational unit and a logistics work center, and between an organizational unit and Accounting objects
Material categories
Both the objects and the assignments to the force element are distributed.
Material planning object (MPO)
The components, classification, WBS elements, and long texts for the MPO are not distributed.
Material container (MC)
The classification, WBS elements, and long texts are not distributed.
Equipment package (EPA)
If a material and a serial number are entered in an EPA and this combination represents an equipment master record, the equipment is distributed to the decentralized system with all its dependent data (notifications, measuring points, and so on).
Provisions package (PP)
The distribution scenarios have been extended to include DFPS-specific infotypes These are infotypes 1950 to 1959 and 1980 to 1986.
Only active force elements, material planning objects, provisions packages, material containers, equipment packages, and so on and their active assignments are distributed.
Master and transaction data in accounting can be divided up into the areas
Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO),
and
Funds Management (FM).
The following master data is distributed by means of PDR :
Controlling:
Cost centers (the associated cost center groups are determined using FOX, but they are technically generated again in the target system.)
Profit centers (the associated profit center groups are determined using FOX, but they are technically generated again in the target system.)
WBS element and project definition
Funds Management:
Funds centers
The funds center is generated using report FMDERIVE in accordance with specific derivation rules.
The following master data is distributed by means of ALE :
Financial Accounting:
G/L accounts
Cost elements
Cost element groups
Activity types
Activity type groups
Customers (external)
Vendors (external)
Controlling:
Prices
Internal orders
Internal order groups
Funds Management:
Commitment item
The accounting transaction data (documents) is distributed by means of ALE:
FI documents
CO documents
Profit center documents
FM commitments
FM documents
FM budget distribution
See also Distribution of Funds Management and Report: Send Plan Quantities and Prices .
The Materials Management master data is distributed by means of PDR .
The following master data is distributed:
Material master data (including MRP area data from the
production planning and control
component)
Serial numbers
Batches requiring condition management and their condition
A material can require condition management. To this end, the indicator for batch management requirement and condition management must be set in the material master.
Bills of material (material, equipment, functional location, and document BOMs)
Customers and vendors (required for stock transfer)
Only those customers and vendors who are defined for the stock transfer in the plant table or storage location table are distributed.
Packing instructions
Relocation
Relocation step
Loading object
The master data for dangerous goods and hazardous substances is distributed using PDR .
Note
Only master data as of the current date is selected for distribution so that only master data that is valid currently and in the future is distributed.
The maintenance master and transaction data is distributed by means of PDR . For more information about the special features of individual objects, see Distribution of Maintenance Objects .
The following master data is distributed:
Maintenance work centers
Equipment
Functional locations
Reference functional locations
General maintenance task lists/task lists
Measuring points/counter (including relevant classes and characteristics)
Reference measuring points
Maintenance plans
Maintenance strategies (indirect determination using Business Add-In)
Maintenance task lists
Master parts list
Structure gaps
Partners
Approvals
Master warranties (including warranties that are assigned to the technical objects)
Production resources and tools
Revisions
Change master records (indirect determination using corresponding objects)
The following transaction data is distributed:
Maintenance notifications
Maintenance orders
Measurement documents (indirect determination using Business Add-In)
Confirmations (indirect determination using Business Add-In)
Some data is used in more than one application. The following cross-application data is distributed by means of PDR :
Documents
Classes and classifications
Characteristics
Addresses for the force element
