SAP F&R evaluates the substitution assignments as well as existing switchover information, it creates switchover information, and enriches imported and newly created switchover information.
The Forecasting and Replenishment Processor processes the enriched switchover information and takes it into account, for example, when merging the movement data. In addition, it takes the DIF occurrences generated during product substitution into account in the forecast calculation.
During creation of switchovers to the follow-up product, the system executes the lock behavior with location products.
The system evaluates substitution assignments and active switchover information and reacts to these as follows:
it creates a switchover to the follow-up product as soon as the switchover period for the corresponding substitution assignment has expired, and if no switchover (to the follow-up product) yet exists for the original product.
in the case of a switchover to the replacement product, it creates a switch back as soon as the switchover period for the corresponding substitution assignment has expired, and if no switch back yet exists.
it enriches active switchover information with further data (for example, with the substitution merge profile from the substitution assignment) or it creates DIF occurrences.
You can start the generation and enrichment of switchover information as follows:
Manual call-up of the report /FRE/UI_SUBSTSW_PROCESS
with selection by location number and date
Starting the program logic using the dispatcher of the F&R Processor
Periodic scheduling of the report /FRE/UI_SUBSTSW_PROCESS
using a background job
