Switchover information documents, as part of product substitution – with reference to the receiving location – the replacement of an original product through a follow-up or replacement product. The switchover information contains, in addition to product and location data, also information on the order document, the switchover date, and substitution control. The exchange can be a switchover from the original product to the substitute product or a switch back from the replacement product to the original product.

Switchover information is active, if the planning date (the system uses the formula "planning date minus one day") lies within the merge period.
