Lock Behavior with Location Products
SAP F&R controls the planning of location products that appear in substitution assignments or switchover information with follow-up relationships using the lock indicator lock for product substitution
in the location product master data. Depending on whether the switchover has occurred or not, the system sets and removes the lock for the original or follow-up product.
Features
On the import of a substitution assignment with follow-up relationship, the system sets the lock for the location product containing the follow-up product and removes the lock for the location product containing the original product. SAP F&R ensures this way that it plans the original product and not yet the follow-up product.
After a switchover from the original product to the follow-up product, the system sets the lock for the location product containing the original product and removes the lock for the location product containing the follow-up product. SAP F&R ensures this way that it is planning the follow-up product and no longer the original product.
Note
SAP F&R does not plan location products for which the lock indicator lock for product substitution
is set.
