Creating Additional Data for a Project Definition
Here you can create additional data for a project definition.
You created a project definition (see Creating a Project Definition) and are in the editing view of this project definition on the Additional Data
tab (see also Opening a Project or Project Version).
Note
You cannot make any changes if you opened a snapshot.
Enter the Sold-to Party Number
and the Customer Number
, as required, or select a number using the search (see Search).
The system transfers the numbers to the Sold-to Party
or Customer
fields accordingly.
Enter a Grouping
, if required.
Grouping allows you to group together projects in one category. You can select the grouping of your choice. It is an additional search criterion in the search function for finding a project.
Enter a search term in the Search Field
, if required.
The system also uses the search term as an additional search criterion in the search function.
If you activated time recording for the project definition in the Define Project Types
activity in Customizing for Project Management
, the Confirmation
field is also active on the Additional
Data
tab page. The field is only ready for input once the project has been released.
Enter the organizational unit
responsible for the project, or select it using the search.
The organizational unit can be used to determine organizational data for costing (see Costing Logic and Derivation of Organizational Data).
If you enter an area
and a location
, the system offers you this data again when you create new roles. You can change this information for each role.
The distribution unit
and period type
you enter here form the basis for the distribution of the demand (see Distribution of Demand over
Periods).
Caution
If you change the demand distribution unit, the system adjusts the distribution values of the roles accordingly. This can lead to rounding errors in particular if the new unit is significantly larger than the old one, for example, changing the unit from day to year.
Here you see which project template
the project is based on and who the person responsible for the template is. Furthermore, you check who created and changed the project and when.
This area only appears on the Additional Data
tab if an import to the project has taken place (for example from Microsoft Project). In this area, you can see when the last import was done, who has done the import, and the name of the file used to import. You can
also export the last imported file by clicking the Export
link.
The Import
area is only supported when either Internet Explorer or NWBC for Desktop (with Browser rendering from Internet Explorer) are used. It is not supported by Firefox, for example. For more information about supported browsers, see SAP Note 1402912.
