You can define that financial and capacity planning data for an item or an item of initiative is retrieved from a financial and controlling (FI/CO) system or Project Management instead of manually entering the data.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for SAP Portfolio and Project Management under Start of the navigation path Portfolio Management Next navigation step Global Customizing Next navigation step Portfolio-Independent Settings Next navigation step Define Financial and Capacity Views End of the navigation path you have made the following settings:

  • You have defined the Item Process for a view as Integration under Start of the navigation path Global Customizing Next navigation step Portfolio-Independent Settings Next navigation step Define Financial and Capacity Views End of the navigation path.

  • You have made integration settings for financial planning under Start of the navigation path Base System Interfaces Next navigation step Financial Planning Settings Next navigation step Define Financial Planning Settings End of the navigation path.

  • You have made integration settings for capacity planning under Start of the navigation path Base System Interfaces Next navigation step Capacity Planning Settings Next navigation step Define Capacity Planning Settings End of the navigation path.

In Customizing for SAP ERP under Start of the navigation path Integration with Other mySAP.com Components Next navigation step SAP Portfolio and Project Management Next navigation step Portfolio Management End of the navigation path, you have defined settings in the following Customizing activities:

  • Maintain Gen. Settings for Portf. and Proj. Mgmt Intgrn

  • Maintain Controlling Area and Valuation view Mapping

  • Maintain Settlement Behavior

  • Customize Portf. and Proj. Mgmt Value Type

  • Convert Working Time Unit

Activities

To transfer costs to SAP Portfolio and Project Management, you can execute either one of the following reports:

  • RPM_FICO_DATA_TRANSFER in the SAP ERP system

  • /RPM/FICO_INT_PLANNING in the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system
