Handling of Assigned Orders
The system handles assigned orders during the transfer of financial planning data from Project System
to Portfolio and Project Management
depending on whether an object is directly assigned to the portfolio item, or if an object
is retrieved through hierarchy processing. In the Financial Planning
screen, you can see financial planning figures for an item. The choices you make in Customizing affect these figures. For more information, see Hierarchy
Processing.
In Project System
, orders or networks can be assigned to an element within a WBS structure. Project System
differentiates between assigned orders or networks that are appended or not appended.
Transferring Costs to Corresponding Portfolio Items
When transferring planning data from Project System
to Portfolio and Project Management
, the system displays the data if hierarchy processing has been activated. The transfer of planned data is affected if hierarchy processing is
activated and if orders are appended.
In the table below you can see whether actual and planning costs for an object are transferred through hierarchy processing or are directly assigned to a portfolio item. If hierarchy processing has not been activated, orders are assigned directly to the portfolio item.

Planned costs are added to give the planned cost of the WBS element for appended orders or networks. The sum is displayed as the project plan.
