Scheduler Tasks
In Knowledge Management, scheduler tasks are automatically started and executed at predefined times by the scheduler service. The tasks originate from different CM applications and services.
In a load-balancing environment, scheduler tasks are distributed amongst various CM installations in order to increase performance.
The following scheduler tasks are used in KM:
● Scheduler Tasks for Time-Dependent Publishing
● Content Exchange Task Queue Reader
● Index Service Task Queue Reader
● Garbage Collector Scheduler Tasks

In a load-balancing environment, you have to assign exactly one node of the cluster (on which the task is to be carried out) to each of these scheduler tasks.
You can use the component monitor to display an overview of all nodes in the load-balancing environment with the assigned scheduler tasks. Choose Services ® Scheduler in the component monitor. If a task is not assigned to a node, a red symbol is displayed. If this is the case, check the configuration of the corresponding task.
You can use the scheduler tasks report to display all scheduler tasks in the load balancing environment and distribute them to other nodes if necessary.
