Creating KM Search Object Connectors
You must create a search object connector for each KM index that you want to connect to SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search.
You must have prepared KM as described in Preparing KM for Enterprise Search.
You have a user for the KM system. You need this user to select an index.
You have entered the KM system as a back-end system in SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search. For more information, see Connecting Back-End Systems.
You have created the required software components, imported the indexes as models, and assigned the attributes to UI areas. For more information, see Preparing for KM.
Note
You must create a separate KM connector for each index that you want to make available for searching.
In the administration cockpit, choose Create.
Choose the SAP KM Search type.
In the Define Connectivity step, you can see the KM system assigned and the authentication settings for the back-end system.
In the Select Connector Models step, choose the software component created for KM and the model corrresponding to the KM index required.
To save the settings, choose Finish. You can also choose Previous to correct any incorrect settings, or Cancel to discard all the data you have entered.
Optional: In the administration cockpit, you can change the technical name of the new KM search object connector, which consists of the host name, the port, and the index name, to a more meaningful name. The new name is then used on the Search UI.
In the details of the search object connector, choose Edit and change the name.
