Configuring VolumesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

In the Configuration user menu, you can find, among other things, functions to configure volumes.

Note

We recommend that you call the volume configuration using this function only for making changes, as this call is very performance-intensive. If you only want to display the volumes, select the display of memory usage for the data area/log area, or display the configuration of the volumes.

Prerequisites

In accordance with the Authorization Concept, the user was assigned one of the roles SAP_BC_LVC_ADMINISTRATOR or SAP_BC_LVC_SUPERUSER.

Procedure

  1. In the user menu, choose liveCache Assistant (transaction LC10).

  2. Enter the name of the database connection. You can select the name from the list of existing names. You can restrict the search for the required name.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path liveCache Next navigation step Monitoring End of the navigation path.

  4. Choose Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Configuration Next navigation step Volumes End of the navigation path.

Open the DBA Cockpit (transaction DBACOCKPIT) and select Start of the navigation path Space Next navigation step Data Area/Log Area End of the navigation path. Start of the navigation path Administration Next navigation step Volumes End of the navigation path).
