Background documentationAdding POD Button Activities to Your PODs Locate this document in the navigation structure

Once you have set up the common activities for your PODs, you can add specific POD button activities to them. Additional production activities allow you to set up the POD for recording specific types of work production operators perform.

There are already several production activities or reports assigned to the Activities or Reports group buttons in the predefined PODs. However, you can also assign them to your PODs as well. You can do this when you want to change the buttons a group of operators sees in the POD, or when you want to change the activity’s rules to affect how it behaves for that group of operators.

The following table describes production activities that can be added as buttons to the PODs of the Operation and Work Center types. This list only contains activities that have not been assigned as a button or as an activity in a group button.

When you add a new production activity to a POD, you must also assign this activity on the Layout tab page for the POD in POD Maintenance.

Note Note

All legacy plug-in activities will always open in a new window regardless of how they have been defined on the Layout tab page for the POD in POD Maintenance. All legacy plug-in activities must be assigned as a Popup type to ensure that a user knows where a legacy plug-in activity will be displayed.

End of the note.
