You use this activity to set up user-defined preferences for activities the user was assigned permissions to execute. These activities and functions include the following:

  • Activity Manager display

  • Printer specifications

  • Product Workbench options

  • Supervisor users

  • Device History Report options

Note that you have to enter your password to retrieve the data and modify it.

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

Rule

Setting

DEFAULT_ACTIVITY

Specifies the default activity used by the system if the user has not defined it in User Preference Maintenance

DEFAULT_DISPLAY

EXPANDED (default): Displays all activity groups and activities within the application tree structure upon login

COLLAPSED: Displays only activity groups within the application tree structure upon login

The user will have to expand each group manually to view activities.

Fields

The following tables describe fields requiring explanation:

Activity Manager Tab

Sequence

Specifies the order the new activity group will display in the Activity Manager

Available Activities

Lists the available activities assigned to this user

Assigned Activities

Lists the activities assigned to this user for this activity group

Printer Tab

Field

Description

Document Printer

The name of the document printer

Label Printer

The name of the label printer

Traveler Printer

The name of the traveler printer

Note Note

If a printer is defined in User Preference Maintenance, the system uses that printer instead of a printer defined in POD Maintenance and for ADS Document Print (SY521) in Activity Maintenance.

Product Workbench Tab

Field

Description

Default Display

Specifies the Product Workbench view

Routing

Displays the routing associated with the current material in the Product Workbench

Note that selecting the Routing checkbox enables the Step Group/Step ID checkbox.

Step Group/Step ID

Displays the step group and all step IDs associated with the current routing and step group in the Product Workbench

Component Assembly Point

Displays the components consumed at the current operation in the Product Workbench

BOM

Displays the BOM associated with the current material in the Product Workbench

Note that selecting the BOM checkbox enables the Component checkbox.

Component

Displays the component associated with the current BOM

Note that selecting the Component checkbox enables the Alternate Components checkbox.

Alternate Components

Displays the alternate components associated with the current BOM in the Product Workbench

Data Collection

Displays the data collections attached to all applicable definitions in the Product Workbench

Note that selecting the Data Collection checkbox enables the Attachment Details checkbox.

Attachment Details - DC

Attaches the attachment details to the data collection

Work Instruction

Displays the work instructions attached to all applicable definitions in the Product Workbench

Note that selecting the Work Instruction checkbox enables the Attachment Details checkbox.

Attachment Details - Work Instruction

Attaches the attachment details to the work instruction

Supervised Users Tab

Field

Description

Available Users

Lists all the user IDs defined in the site, except the user IDs that are inactive or terminated

Assigned Users

Lists the users that have been assigned by the supervisor

Note that this tab page is only enabled for the user that has permission for Supervisor Work Assignment.

Device History Tab

Field

Description

Default Display

Specifies the Device History Report view (see Device History Report)

Expanded: Displays all configuration data within the applicable tree structure

Collapsed: Hides configuration data within the tree structure

SFC Data

Displays collected SFC Data fields and values in the SFC Data node in the report

Custom Data

Displays only the Custom Data fields and values associated with SFC/material/routing/BOM/shop order/operations (all completed and the current one)/ DC groups that have collected data for this SFC number/ NC codes logged for this SFC number in the Custom Data node in the report

Work Instructions

Displays the work instructions attached to all applicable definitions in the Work Instructions node in the report

Note that only the work instructions which have already passed their attachment points by the moment you ran the report are displayed.

Attachment Points

Displays the attachment points for work instructions in the Work Instruction node in the report

Note that you have to select the Work Instructions checkbox to enable the Attachment Points checkbox.

WI View Log

Displays the information about who and when has viewed the work instruction in the Work Instruction node in the report

Note Note

You have to select the Work Instructions checkbox to enable the WI View Log checkbox.

WI View Log is displayed in the report only if you have selected Log Viewing in the Work Instruction Maintenance (see Work Instruction Maintenance).

Data Collection

Displays the data collection groups attached to all applicable definitions in the Data Collection node in the report

Collected Data

Displays parameters and values collected for the SFC number in the Data Collection node in the report

Note that you have to select the Data Collection checkbox to enable the Collected Data checkbox.

Limit Values

Displays the Min Value/Max Value for the parameter, if they are set for it in Data Collection Maintenance

Note that you have to select the Data Collection and Collected Data checkboxes to enable the Limited Values checkbox.

NC Tree

Displays the NC codes logged for the SFC number in the report

NC Data

Displays the NC data associated with the SFC number in the report

Tool Used Data

Displays information about the tools used at an operation in the Activity Log section of the report
