Editing TermsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Procedure

To edit a term, proceed as follows:

  1. Call transaction STERM.

  2. Enter the term and choose Edit Edit.

    The system checks whether the term to be edited already exists in the terminology database.

    • If this term already exists multiple times in SAPterm, the system displays a list of the existing terms.

    • If this term only exists once, you go to the maintenance dialog box.

  3. Enter the required data.

    Note

    If you want to edit the source term itself, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Edit Entry End of the navigation path. This ensures that the field for the source term is ready for input.

  4. Save your entries using Save Save.

Result

The system saves the changed term in the terminology database.

Note

Changes to existing term and glossary entries reset the status of the entry to indicate a possible translation-relevant change.

Changes or additions to additional information do not reset the status.
