Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Enter the operation you are performing and resource you are using in the Operation and Resource fields in the upper half of the initial Production Operator Dashboard screen.

  2. Enter the number of the SFC, process lot, or shop order you are working on in the SFC field.

    Note Note

The Task List displays the SFC numbers in a queue that are waiting to be processed at this operation. To see a shorter list, enter just a few characters of the SFC number in the SFC field. For example, entering ABC12 displays all SFC numbers that contain ABC12. You can choose multiple SFC numbers in the Task List.

If you enter a shop order number in the SFC field, all SFC numbers in the shop order must be in a queue and waiting to be processed at this operation. If you enter a process lot number in the SFC field, all SFC numbers in the process lot must be in a queue at this operation.

    End of the note.
  3. Choose Start to indicate you have started working on an SFC number.

The POD displays information about the SFC number in the Active Work List in the lower half of the screen.

Note that if you specified multiple SFC numbers in the previous step, the POD displays all numbers in the Active Work List.

  4. If necessary, repeat steps 2-3 for all SFC numbers you have started working on.

The POD displays information about all started SFC numbers in the Active Work List in the lower half of the screen.

  5. As you work on the SFC numbers, select their numbers in the Active Work List, and record your work by choosing the functional pushbuttons (see POD Pushbutton Activities).

    Note Note

If other users are currently working on the same operation of an SFC number, the POD displays a message stating this and lets you choose whether to labor them off and remove the SFC numbers from the Active Work List, or to cancel signoff or to complete. Choose OK to labor off the other users and sign off or complete the SFC number.

If you enter a process lot or shop order number in the SFC field, do not choose SFC numbers in the Active Work List.

    End of the note.
