Process documentationSetting Up Statistical Process Control (SPC) Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You use this process to set up SPC in order to perform SPC analysis of collected data (see Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Data Collection (DC)).

Prerequisites

  • You have installed the Statit e-Server software.

  • You have installed and started SAP ME SPC Server software.

  • You have specified Statit Server Host Computer Name in System Rule Maintenance (see Miscellaneous Rules).

Process

  1. You complete the following fields in Data Collection Maintenance:

    • The SPC Chart field to perform SPC analysis during data collections

    • The Display Chart field to display the SPC Chart to the operator

      For more information, see Data Collection Maintenance.

  2. In SPC Chart Maintenance, you define control charts that you use for SPC analysis (see SPC Chart Maintenance).

    You can view control charts and a summary of trend rules in SPC Display (see SPC Display)

  3. In SPC Alarm Severity Maintenance, you assign an alarm type to each trend rule for a given site (see SPC Alarm Severity Maintenance).
