Use

You can:

      Install equipment with goods movement

      Install equipment without goods movement

      Install non-serialized material

Make goods movement out of stock without PM integration

For more information see Modes for Changing the Actual Configuration.

Prerequisites

Note the prerequisites described under Change of the Actual Configuration.

If you want to perform a Cancel-Part Relationships check, you must set the corresponding indicator in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Make General Settings for Interface to iPPE Workbench.

Features

The system can automatically generate or update a notification to document the installation. This function is enabled by the Business Add-In (BAdI) BADI_CCM_NOTIF_GENER.

The system can perform a local configuration check against the master parts list of the respective technical object and generate proposals for valid materials and installation locations.

If you have not specified an installation location, the system uses the equipment number of the previously installed equipment and the function identifier as a basis for determining a valid structure gap. If no corresponding location is found, the system searches for a structure gap whose material number corresponds with that of the equipment to be installed.

If you have maintained cancel-part relationships for the corresponding master parts list, the system can incorporate these relationships in the validity check for the specified materials.

You can perform a forced installation. This is an installation that takes place despite a validation error reported by the system. A forced installation is saved in the equipment master record and indicated as such. It requires a special authorization.

      You can use interchangeable materials.

Note

You can use the BADI_CCM_FULLY_EQUI BAdI with the CHECK_MAT_UPD_READ method to control which materials can be exchanged and updated.

      You can simulate the installation.

You receive an application log for the installation.

For all installation modes except ‘goods movement out of stock without PM integration’, the following MPL check options are available:

       No check

       Check top MPL

       Check MPL of installed object

For more information, see MPL Check Options During Installation.
