Function documentationRepeated Operation Confirmation

In the manufacturing process, you may have to complete an SFC number at an operation two or more times. For example, you do that in the following cases:

  • An SFC number was dispositioned to the previous operation of a production routing for rework (see Disposition Functions).

  • As SFC number was moved to the previous operation of a production routing from a disposition routing for rework (see Routing).

  • An SFC number was moved to the previous operation of a production routing using the Place in Queue action in SFC Step Status (see SFC Step Status).

  • An SFC number was moved to the previous operation of a production routing using Change Production (see Change Production).

When you complete an SFC number at an operation that is marked as an ERP reporting step for the second or subsequent times, SAPMEINT sends a production yield confirmation with the IV_2ND_TIME_CONFIRMATION tag to notify SAP ERP about the rework but does not increase production yield quantity for that operation.

In SAP ERP, the completed quantity of the SFC number appears in the Rework (ME) field for this operation on the Display Production Order Confirmation: Details screen (transaction CO14).
