HR Forms

Definition

A complete form that consists of several parts:

The InfoNet, which describes the content and data structure of a form

The ABAP Dictionary structure, which is generated on the basis of the InfoNet

The Smart Form, which defines the layout of the form

The print program, which retrieves and formats the data

Use

The Forms Workplace generates the report for HR forms, and creates the form. To generate the print program, the Forms Workplace requires the following additional information:

Information on the data selected for printing in the form that must be read by the R/3 System from the database. The InfoNet contains the selected data.
The active Smart Form containing the form logic and layout information. The form logic determines the order in which data is printed. The layout defines the appearance of the form.

Note

If you use the Forms Workplace to access SAP Smart Forms for the first time to design a new HR form, the R/3 System creates a Smart Form automatically. The Smart Form is subject to the specified naming conventions.

Structure

An HR form consists of several parts, which are illustrated in an example:

The name of the HR form is Form1.

For print program /1pyxxfo/form1_prnt to run, all parts must be complete and active in the R/3 System. The print program then functions like an ordinary report in the R/3 System.
