Background documentation Settings in the R/3 Material Master  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

As well as the normal configuration of material master, you must make certain settings for the process to run as expected. When setting up the material master you must ensure that issuing a sales order for the material results in requirements in sales order stock. These requirements must consume forecasts in general plant stock.

The relevant settings are on the MRP tab pages in the standard system.
