Processing Planning-Related Minimum Intervals
and Planning-Related Offsets
You can use planning-related minimum intervals and planning-related offsets to achieve leeway in planning. In the detailed scheduling planning board or resource planning table, you can process (that is, reduce or increase) a number of planning-related minimum intervals and offsets at once.
· You can process planning-related minimum intervals between activities of different operations manually, or via mass maintenance.
· Similar to the planning-related minimum interval between activities, you can maintain a planning-related offset for the interval between the requirement (input node) and the start of the activity, either manually or via mass maintenance.
If you want to use mass maintenance, you must use the BAdI Mass Maintenance of Planning-Related Minimum Intervals and Planning-Related Offsets (/SAPAPO/CDPS_PMAN_01).

The BAdI is active in the standard system; the default implementation already contains common methods.
See Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Project Manufacturing
In the standard system, you can choose between the following calculation procedures for planning-related minimum intervals and planning-related offsets:
· Set to a fixed value
· Percentage increase or decrease based on the current planning-related minimum interval or planning-related offset
· Absolute increase or decrease based on the current planning-related minimum interval or planning-related offset
· Percentage increase based on the process-related minimum interval or (process-related) offset
· Absolute increase based on the process-related minimum interval or (process-related) offset
...
1. In the detailed scheduling planning board, select an order, operation, relationship, or pegging relationship.
2. Choose Functions → Maintain Planning-Related Minimum Interval.
3. The system displays the window for maintaining planning-related minimum intervals and planning-related offsets.
Relationships
are represented by the symbol

requirements at pegging relationship with the symbol

Choose
Display Details for Relationships,
to display the details
about relationships or pegging relationships in the lower screen
area.
4. You can change values individually, or change multiple values simultaneously.
a. Change individual values
In the relevant row, change the value for the relationship or pegging relationship.

Note the following:
§ The planning-related minimum interval must be greater than the process-related minimum interval.
§ The planning-related minimum interval must be smaller than the maximum interval.
The following rule applies to relationships: If there is a negative process-related minimum interval, you cannot enter a planning-related minimum interval of zero.
If there is a minimum interval of zero, the system assumes that no planning-related minimum interval exists. Therefore, enter a planning-related minimum interval of exactly +/- 1 seconds, because this value is the nearest value to a planning-related minimum interval of zero.
§ The planning-related offset must be greater than the (process-related) offset.
(Therefore, the planning-related offset corresponds to the process-related offset, if you have not explicitly maintained a planning-related offset.)
§ You must enter the interval in the following date format: DD/HH:MM:SS.
b. Change multiple values
Choose
Mass Maintenance to change multiple values or to have the values
calculated by the system.
The mass maintenance screen is displayed. Choose a suitable calculation procedure and enter the percentage or absolute value that you want to use.
Choose
Execute.
5.
Choose
Copy in the maintenance screen for planning-related
minimum intervals and planning-related offsets.
6. Save the planning situation (simulative version) if necessary.

1.
In the resource
planning table, choose
Order Functions → Maintain Planning-Related Minimum
Interval.
2. The system displays the window for maintaining planning-related minimum intervals and planning-related offsets.
Example
The following graphic illustrates how planning-related minimum intervals and planning-related offsets are represented in mass maintenance.
For the pegging
relationship at order 4712/40, no preceding order is displayed because there
may be multiple receipts for the requirement. You can view these receipts in
the details view (
Details: Relationships).
