The following section describes the steps that you need to perform to develop and integrate custom modules into workspaces.
Develop a regular portal application.
Deploy your application to the development or testing environment.
Create an iView from this application.
If required, define permissions for this iView.
For detailed information, see Creating a Module Template.
Check that the module template is available in the workspaces.
Log on as an end user with permissions to create workspaces.
Open your personal workspace or a shared workspace in which you are a manager, choose Add Content and verify that your module template appears in the module gallery.
Add the module to the workspace page, as described in Adding Modules to a Workspace.
Verify that the application works as expected.
Transport the iView to the production system using the portal transport tools.
Create and configure a module template from the iView, as described above.
