Prerequisites

You are the manager or owner of a shared workspace, or you are adding modules to your personal workspace.

Procedure
  1. At the top of the workspace screen, choose Add Content.

    The Module Gallery opens.

    Note

The Module Gallery is open by default when you create a new page.

  2. The available modules are divided into categories. Choose a module category to display the modules in that category, or select All Modules to display all of the modules.

  3. You can search for modules by name by entering text in the search field. The search results are displayed in the Module Gallery as you type.

  4. To view the description of a module, hover the cursor over the module in the Module Gallery and choose Description.

  5. To add a module to the workspace you can:

    • Hover the cursor over the module and choose Add.

The module is added to the layout container at the top left side of the content area. You can then drag the module to the desired location on the page.

    • Drag the module directly from the Module Gallery to the desired location on the page.

    • Your workspace administrator can also enable an Add To Workspace option in the Options menu of specific iViews in the portal.

      1. In the Options menu of the iView that you want to add to the workspace, choose Add To Workspace.

      2. In the Add to Workspace dialog box that opens, select a workspace and the workspace page to which you want to add the iView.

      3. Choose Add.

The iView is added as a module to the selected workspace.

  6. When you have finished adding modules to the pages in your workspace, choose Done to close the Module Gallery.

  7. To delete a module from the workspace, in the module header from the Options menu Options, choose Delete.

Once the module is on the page, you can do the following:

  • Drag the module to move it to a different place within the page layout.

  • Rename the module. Double-click the module title and enter a new name.

    Note

If the module contains content that resides outside of the workspace, and that source is no longer available, the module title appears empty. To avoid this, change the module's title when adding it to a workspace.

  • Resize the module by dragging the bottom border of the module. You can only resize the module vertically.

The Module Height (Pixels) property in the workspace settings is adjusted automatically.

  • View the module in full-screen mode. In the module header, choose Maximize module. To restore the module to its original size, choose Restore module.

You cannot add modules to a page when viewing a module in full-screen mode.
