Configuring Module SettingsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

After you have added a module to your workspace, you can configure its settings.

Note

The workspace administrator can modify the list of settings that are available to you.

Procedure
  1. To access the module settings, in the module header, from the Options menu Options, choose Settings.

  2. Make the relevant changes to the settings.

You can change the following settings in all modules:

    • Name: Change the name of the module. The name appears in the module header.

You can also change the name of a module by double-clicking the name in the module header.

    • Module Height (Pixels): Change the value to determine the fixed height of the module within its container on the page.

  3. Choose Done.

The following modules have additional settings that you can configure.

Document List
Note

The document list is only available in shared workspaces.

  • Documents Per Page: defines the number of items to display in a page. If this number is reached, the Document List starts a new page.

  • Member Permissions: Specify whether workspace members can make changes to the documents in the Document List.

URL Module

The URL property in the URL Module is a mandatory property that you must set so that the relevant Web site can be displayed in the workspace.

If you have not yet specified a URL to display in the module, a message is displayed within the module container explaining that you need to define the URL property.

Note

In some cases, if an incorrect or malicious URL is entered, the entire workspace page can be corrupted. If this happens, you cannot delete the module directly. Contact your workspace administrator to remove the module from the workspace.

External Content

The height of modules that you add from sources external to enterprise workspaces, such as portal content or Web Page Composer content, is set automatically.

  • Module Height (Pixels): The default value of this property in modules containing external content is -1.

  • Dynamic Module Height: When set to true, and the value of Module Height (Pixels) is -1, the module height adjusts automatically according to the size of the content displayed in the module.

Set to false to specify a module height in the Module Height (Pixels) property.

Note

Changing the value of the Module Height (Pixels) property when the Dynamic Module Height property is set to true does not affect the height of the module.
