Before portal users can start working with Web Page Composer, the content administrator must configure a number of general content editor properties.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   Content Administration   Portal Content Management  .

  2. In the Portal Catalog, open   Portal Content   Portal Users   WPC Authors  .

  3. In the context menu of the Area Management role, choose   Open   Role  .

  4. In the Role editor, select the Content Editor page, and choose Open.

    The Content Editor page opens in the Page editor.

  5. In the Page editor, from the link bar, choose Properties.

  6. In the Property editor, choose All to view all the properties of the Content Editor page.

  7. From the Show Category dropdown list, select WPC Configuration.

  8. Choose Modify Properties.

  9. Configure the following properties:

    Description

    Content Templates Creation Method

    Defines the method in which to create content originating from the Content Templates repository. Valid values:

    • Delta link

    • Copy

    Default Runtime Actions

    Defines the runtime actions that are marked as selected in the Page wizard and editor. Valid values:

    • For Print, enter RT_ACTION2

    • For Edit, enter RT_ACTION0

    • For Send URL, enter RT_ACTION1

    • For Send Feedback enter RT_ACTION4

    • For RSS, enter RT_ACTION3

    All actions are marked as selected by default. If you do not want a specific action to appear as selected in the Page wizard and editor, remove the relevant item from this property.

    Location of Content Templates

    Defines the path to the content templates to display in the Page Content panel.

    Default value: pcd:portal_content/templates/pcc/iviews/webContent

    Location of ECM Root Directory

    Defines the root folder to display for each content repository in the Page Content panel. Value must be in the format <repository ID>:<folder ID>

    If the folder ID value is left empty, the root folder of the repository is displayed. Separate entries with a semicolon (;).

    Location of Pages for Import

    Defines the path to the root folder that contains the pages that can be imported into Web Page Composer areas.

    Default value: pcd:portal_content

    Location of Portal Applications

    Defines the path to the folder that contains the portal applications to display in the Page Content panel.

    Default value: pcd:portal_content/pcc_portal_application

    Location of WPC Layouts

    Defines the path to the layouts to display when creating and editing Web Page Composer pages.

    Default value: pcd:portal_content/templates/pcc/layouts

    Portal Repository Creation Method

    Defines the method in which to create content originating from the Portal Repository. Valid values:

    • Delta link

    • Copy
