Creating an Object
You use this function to create an object and then edit it further in the object editor.
You specify the following information in the Create Object dialog:
· Object type
You specify the object type on the left-hand side of the create dialog.

There is a list of all available object types in the navigation area.
· Object key
The object key consists of a set of key attributes. You specify the object key on the right-hand side of the create dialog.
For more information about the respective object key, see the description of the respective object type:
· Service

When you create receiver agreements and sender agreements, you have the option of defining the object for some key attributes generically for all attribute values (see: Generic/Specific Definition of Configuration Objects).

Call the function Create
Object. Choose
Object ® New (
) in the main menu (or Create Object (
) on the toolbar).
2. Specify the required information. Select the object type first and then specify the object key.
An input help is available to help you
specify the key values. To call the input help, use the icon
. The value selection contained in the input
help can depend on the values that have already been defined for other key
attributes. Fields marked with a red asterisk are required fields.
3. To confirm your entries, choose Create.
The system calls the object editor for this object. The specifications that you made when you created the object are displayed in the header. You can edit the object further in the work area of the object editor.

Once you have confirmed your specifications in the Create Object dialog by choosing Create, you can no longer change the object key.
