The following documentation list the options for you to modify Digital Asset Management (DAM) to match the special features of your system.

Activities

You can now start modifying DAM to meet project requirements. These are in the following locations:

  • You can make additional settings for your system in Customizing at   Customer Relationship Management   Marketing   Digital Asset Management  .

    • Maintain General Settings in DAM

    • Security and Authorization Concept

      This contains all information about the authorization concept and security in DAM and you can modify the authorization concept to match your project requirements.

    • Define Digital- and Security Status

    • Specify Access Types

    • Define Download Options for Digital Assets

    • Create Asynchronous Download Type for Container

    • Translate Taxonomy Names

    • Create Texts for iViews

    • Search

      You can make search settings here.

    • Conversion Service

      This contains all settings for the conversion service in the portal. You can select, add, or modify properties for the conversion servers you want to connect.

    • Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)

  • To avoid direct access to assets using the default KM functionality, you can activate a repository filter. For more information, see Repository Filter.

  • Portal settings at   Digital Assets   Administration  

  • Uploading large numbers of digital assets: When you want to upload a lot of digital assets at the same time, you can use a function module to do it. For more information, see Initial Upload.
