You can assign one or several items of legal information to digital assets and hence guarantee the lawful use of a digital asset.

Prerequisites

You have created the properties in the classification system and have maintained the characteristics class for legal information in Customizing.

Activities

When creating legal information, pay attention to the following points:

  • If you use DAM on different operating systems, specify a text file with the legal information. If you use a uniform operating system, you can also specify the legal information in DOC, PDF, RTF or similar file formats.

  • You can specify multiple versions for an item of legal information.

  • Specify the validity.

  • Multiple versions of an item of legal information can be valid.

  • You can assign properties.

  • The user can only use a digital asset when the legal information is valid.
