Document Generation 
This function allows you to create layouts using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Notepad. A layout is a template that sales and service representatives use to generate sales and service transactions, reports, and letters.

Create layouts
A layout is based on a document created in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Notepad, with an associated query that fetches data from the database. For more information, see Document Generation Workflow.
Include elements in layouts
Data elements
They retrieve data from the database; this data appears in the layout at runtime. You can also include values based on certain calculations performed between fields. For more information, see Data Element Definition.
Text elements
These are predefined, language-dependent, static texts. For more information, see Text Element Definition.
Decision elements
These elements control values that appear in the layout based on predefined conditions. For more information, see Decision Element Definition.
You can also include other layouts in a layout.
Design layouts
You can structure the elements of a layout and arrange them according to the format you want. For more information, see Layout Design.
