Activity Reporting in a Federated Portal
Network
In the portal, you can gather and display statistics about portal activity, including which users accessed the portal, what content they viewed and how long the portal took to process requests. For general information about this functionality, see Activity Reporting.
Portal Activity Reports
Note the following when using portal activity reports iViews in a federated portal network:
● Portal activity report iViews cannot be shared with other consumer portals in a federated portal network.
● Activity data is only generated on the portal which executes the content. For example, in remote role assignment, activity for any role and its content consumed by consumer portal is registered on the producer portal only.
● Activity data gathering for portals in a federated portal network is activated by default in the data collection service (see Configuring the Data Collection Service).
● With remote delta links, activity for content consumed by a consumer portal is registered both on the producer portal and the consumer portal.
For example, when a portal page on a producer portal is accessed by a remote delta link from a consumer portal, the activity of the remote delta link portal page is registered on the consumer portal, while the activity of the source portal page on the producer portal is registered on the producer portal.

Activity Data Collector
Note the following when using the activity data collector tool in a federated portal network:
● Activity data is only recorded on the portal which executes the content. For example, in remote role assignment, activity for any role and its content consumed by consumer portal is registered on the producer portal only.
● With remote delta links, activity for content consumed by a consumer portal is registered both on the producer portal and the consumer portal.
For example, when a portal page on a producer portal is accessed by a remote delta link from a consumer portal, the activity of the remote delta link portal page is registered on the consumer portal, while the activity of the source portal page on the producer portal is registered on the producer portal.
