Portal Activity Report: Provides basic data on the number of users who logged in and the iViews/pages that were viewed.

The portal aggregates, and then deletes, the raw data, and provides an iView template for displaying pre-defined reports of the aggregated data. You can configure the reports, for example, to display data for a specific time period or to display data for only the top-10 users.

Activity Data Collector: Provides more detailed data than the portal activity report, for example, processing time for the request, the browser type and detailed information on the authenticated user.

The activity data collector creates files with a record for each request in the portal, and is designed to provide access to the raw data and enable you to create customized reports. You are responsible for creating reports from the data, using Business Intelligence, Microsoft Excel or other analytic tool.
