This process describes how you can administer BI reports in a mobile application.

Prerequisites

Process

  1. Extract BI reports

Besides the option of manually loading reports to your mobile client, you can extract the BI report data. You can then use a special test system to analyze problematic reporting data in the same form as it appears for another mobile user.

For more information, see BI Report Extraction.

  2. Assemble workbooks

You can merge BI queries, which contain data required for BI reports, with workbooks. You can also perform the following functions:

    • Assemble all workbooks for which updated data exists or which have not yet been assembled.

      Note Note

All the BI reports that are downloaded to the mobile client are available in the assembled state. You need not assemble these reports to be able to view them.

      End of the note.
    • Delete all assembled workbooks and queries.

You can remove assembled workbooks and queries from the cache memory. These reports are assembled again when you open them.

For more information, see BI Workbook Assembly.

  3. Upload the BI reports

You can upload BI reports to your user database after testing them. Mobile users can then view the reports in the Reports component of Mobile Sales.

BI reports that are uploaded to your user database reside on the mobile client and are not transferred to CRM when ConnTrans is executed.

For more information, see BI Report Upload.
