Namespace Manager 

Purpose

This component allows you to implement the Namespace feature. This is done by:

·        Registering a top level namespace. SAP provides a top-level namespace for the Mobile Application Repository (MAR) on request.

·        Creating and registering sub-namespaces for other mobile application repositories. These repositories could exist in test and production environments. Each sub-namespace has to be registered in the corresponding MAR. 

Implementation Considerations

If you want to deliver the MAR after customization to a third party (For example, as an implementation partner to a customer), you must request SAP for a top-level namespace and then register it in the MAR.

If the third party (customer) wants to customize the MAR again, as an implementation partner you must create and provide the sub-namespace to the customer. The customer has to then register the sub-namespace in the required MAR. For more information, see Namespace Implementation.

Features

·        Register a top-level or sub-namespace for any MAR that exists in the three-system landscape. A list of all MARs is available when you try to register a namespace. For more information, see Registering a Namespace.

·        Create a sub-namespace for the MAR that will be customized by a third party. For more information, see Creating a Sub-namespace.

·        View the namespace registered in the MAR you have currently logged into. You can also view namespaces registered for all MARs that exist in the three-system landscape.
