Registering a Namespace 

Prerequisites

You have received the namespace (either the top-level or subnamespace) along with its details such as the repository ID and checksum value.

Procedure

       1.      Choose Tools ® View Namespaces.

The Namespaces window appears.

       2.      Choose Register Namespace.

The Create / Register Namespace window appears.

       3.      Enter the namespace in the Prefix field.

       4.      Select the repository ID for which you have received the namespace, from the Repository ID list box.

       5.      Enter the checksum value.

       6.      Enter the version number as 1.

       7.      Choose OK.

Result

You have registered the namespace in the Mobile Application Repository (MAR) that corresponds to the selected repository ID. When you create a development object in this repository, the system prefixes the name of the development object with this namespace.
