Namespace Implementation 

Purpose

This process describes how namespaces are implemented for the Mobile Application Repository (MAR) in the development environment.

Process Flow

Depending on the role, the system administrator performs the relevant sub-process described below:

As an implementation partner or SAP customer

       1.      The system administrator requests SAP for a top-level namespace. This is done by creating a customer support message (OSS) using the component CRM-MT-MAS-ARS.

We recommend that you provide information such as the customer name, customer number, and contact person along with your repository ID when you make this request.

       2.      The top-level namespace received is registered in the MAR using MAS. For more  information, see Registering a Namespace.

       3.      If required, a sub-namespace must be created and provided to either the customer of the implementation partner or any internal group of the SAP customer. For more information, see Creating a Sub-namespace.

As a customer of the implementation partner

 

       1.      If required, a request is made for a sub-namespace to the implementation partner.

Your requirement may be to further customize the mobile client application, after receiving the customized application from your implementation partner. To send a request, you create a customer message in the customer support system (OSS) using the component CRM-MT-MAS-ARS.

We recommend that you provide information such as the customer name, customer number, and contact person along with your repository ID when requesting for a sub-namespace. Based on your request, the implementation partner creates the sub-namespace.

       2.      The sub-namespace received is registered in the MAR. For more information, see Registering a Namespace.

Result

Required namespaces and sub-namespaces have been registered in the MAR. Request and register sub-namespaces for MARs that exist in the test and production environments.
