Use

You use this procedure to add or remove folders to an Upgrade Unit. You can also indicate properties of the folders. The properties you indicate enable the upgrade to be successfully deployed onto mobile clients.

Adding Folders is a convenient way to group a number of files together. Instead, of adding individual files you can create a folder, move all files into this folder, and add the entire folder. All sub-folders are automatically added.

Prerequisites

You have done one of the following:

·        Chosen to create an Upgrade Unit and have completed specifying the properties of the Upgrade Unit

·        Loaded an existing Upgrade Unit

·        Opened an existing Upgrade Script

Procedure

From the Upgrade Editor screen:

       1.      Select the Folder tab.

The Folder Selection window appears. If this not visible by default then select the right arrow button.

       2.      Perform the task required as described below.

Adding Folders

       1.      From the folder tree, choose the required node and check the box corresponding to the folder you want to add.

A tick mark appears beside the selected folder.

       2.      Specify the Target path where the selected folder must be extracted to on the mobile client.

       3.      Choose Folder Properties.

The Folder Properties window appears. For more information, refer to the description in the next section.

       4.      Choose Add Folder.

The selected folder appears in the Selected Folders list on the right.

Setting Properties of a Folder

From the Folder Properties window:

       1.      The language attribute is relevant only for Standard Units created by SAP.

       2.      Choose the other attributes by checking the corresponding box.

       3.      Choose OK.

Removing Files

       1.      From the Selected Folders list choose the row displaying the folder you wish to remove.

       2.      Choose Remove Folder.

Result

The Upgrade Unit contains folders. You can include files and commands in the Upgrade Unit.
