Creating a Tile 

Use

You use this procedure to create a tile. Templates exist for each of the three tile types.

Tile type	Use
Detail	Displays business data and allows the user to select data or locate to related business data
List	Displays a list of records
Search	Performs a search based on search terms entered in the tile controls

Prerequisites

You have switched to the required change list.

Procedure

       1.      In the Solution Explorer, click the Tiles node with the secondary mouse button and choose New.

The Add Object dialog box appears.

       2.      Select the template for the type of tile you want to create.

       3.      Enter a Name for the tile, and choose Open.

The Tile Designerwindow, the UI Toolbox, and the Properties window appear.

       4.      In the Properties window, enter necessary data.

       5.      Save your entries.

Result

You have created an empty tile. You can continue with Adding Controls to a Tile.
