Purpose

With the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEW) you can add new folders to the data model of the business transaction and integrate them into the business processes.

Prerequisites

You have created the set types that you want to integrate in the business transaction. For more information, see Enhancement of the Product Master and Business Transaction.

Process Flow

To integrate set types in the business transaction, proceed as follows:

       1.      In the EEW, you create a new project and a new enhancement.

When you create the enhancement, you define that you want to process a business transaction. You select enhancement type ADD_NEW_ITEM_COMPONENT.

A wizard takes you through the application.

       2.      You enter the technical name and description for the business transaction component.

       3.      You select the set types that you want to integrate in the business transaction.

       4.      You make the following settings for the set types:

You can define whether the new business transaction component is relevant for pricing (access logic condition technique).

You can define that the new business transaction component is to be product-independent. As a result, in the business transaction you can use set types that are not assigned to a product catalog. In the business transaction, the system then does not propose any of the attribute values defined in the product master.

You can define a flat structure in the business transaction for multi-value set types in the product master. This means that the values in the input help in the business transactions depend on the settings and values defined in the product master.

For more information, see Structure linkSet Types: Modeling and Appearance.

       5.      You specify the item object types for which the new business transaction component applies. In a financial services context, the following item object types are particularly important:

     BUS2000301 FinSrv Loan Item CRM

     BUS2000302 FinSrv Insurance Item CRM

     BUS2000303 FinSrv Collateral Agreement CRM

     BUS2000304 FinSrv Sales Item CRM

       6.      The system creates all the objects, such as function modules and user interface, required for the business transaction component.

       7.      So that the business transaction component appears in the business transaction, you assign it to a view (tab page) in Customizing and an enhancement profile (item category). When you assign the business transaction component to an enhancement profile, you also define whether the set type can be changed in the business transaction.

For more information, see the IMG for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions ® Basic Settings ® Enhancements with the Easy Enhancement Workbench.

       8.      For the business transaction component, you generate a layout for the People-Centric User Interface (PCUI).

For more information, see Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions ® Basic Settings ® Enhancements with the Easy Enhancement Workbench ® Generate Layout for the People-Centric UI.

       9.      To be able to distribute the new fields to the backend systems during account origination, you must manually enhance the relevant XI interfaces in SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI).

For more information, see Structure linkSAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure.

Result

The fields of the new component are integrated in the business transaction and you can use them in the business transaction.

The new component is integrated in the following areas, for example:

     Interaction layer

     Engineering change management (ECM)

     Archiving

     Business documents

     Event handling

     Copying logic

     Pricing

Note

You can also use the new set types for the definition of rules with the Business Rule Framework (BRF).

For more information, see Business Rule Framework in Account Origination.
