Rejection Behavior
This function enables you to understand the changes that occur in the data after you have received a rejection. For more information about rejections, see Rejections.
Rejection behavior is different for each action performed in a mobile client application, such as creating, updating, or deleting data. Furthermore, the rejection behavior also varies if the data belongs to a main business object, such as Activities or Business Partners, or to a related business object, such as Notes, Attachments, or Addresses.
The rejection behavior is explained for each case in the table below:
|
Action Performed |
Main Business Objects |
Related Business Objects |
|
Create |
· If you have created a record and you receive a rejection because of an error in data, then the system deletes the new record. · To restore the deleted record, navigate from the rejection to the component for which the error was triggered. · Solve the error that has occurred and run ConnTrans to upload the rectified data.
You have created an activity record and uploaded the data to CRM Enterprise. A rejection is triggered after data transfer and is displayed in the Inbox. This activity record will not appear in the Activities component until you use the rejection to restore the information. |
· If you have created a record related to the main business object, such as a note, attachment, or line item, and you receive a rejection, then the system deletes the related information. · Even after restoring the main record, the related record is not restored. · You must navigate to the details of the main business object via the rejection and manually re-create the data for the related business objects to solve the error that has occurred.
You have created an activity note for an activity and uploaded the data to CRM Enterprise. A rejection is triggered after data transfer and is displayed in the Inbox component. Navigate to the activity details record through the rejection. The details are restored, but the note related to the activity will not be restored. |
|
Update |
· If you have updated any data and you receive a rejection due to an error after data upload, then the system reverts the modified data back to its original content. · When you navigate to the record via the rejection, the data is not restored automatically. You must rectify the error that triggered the rejection, perform the updates again, and run ConnTrans to upload the rectified data.
You have modified the time for an activity from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. After running ConnTrans, you receive a rejection in your Inbox. If you search and view this modified activity record, the time will still appear as 10.00 a.m. |
· If you have modified or updated any data related to a record, for example activity attachments and you receive a rejection, then the system reverts the modified data back to its original content. · When you navigate to the record through the rejection, you are taken to the main record, for example, activity details. The data for the related record, for example activity attachments, is not restored automatically. · You must rectify the error that triggered the rejection, perform the updates again, and run ConnTrans to upload the rectified data. |
|
Delete |
· If you have deleted a record and receive a rejection because of an error after data upload, then the system restores the record and makes it available in the mobile client application. · You must navigate to the record via the rejection, rectify the error that triggered the rejection, and delete the record again. |
The same action occurs as in the case of a main business object. The only difference is that when you navigate via the rejection, you are taken to the details of the main record and not to the details of the related record.
You have deleted the address details related to a business partner. A rejection is triggered and is displayed in your Inbox. When you navigate via the rejection the system restores the record, but you are taken to the business partner details record and not directly to the business partner address details record. |
